Artica: 3D surfaces in the kitchen
September 27 of 2010, Madrid
THE STUDIO OF PRODUCT DESIGN AND ENGINEERING 'ESTUDIOSAT', LAUNCHES PROJECT "ARTICA" KITCHEN FURNITURE FOR DELTA COCINAS.
Artica was on show at the Architecture Foundation COAM of Madrid, from the 22nd to 24th of September, featuring in the exhibition "3D SURFACES IN THE KITCHEN".

The Official Architects College of Madrid has chosen this project due to its commitment to architecture, innovation and sustainability.
In the Autumn of 2009 Delta Cocinas set Estudiosat the challenge of designing a kitchen completely different to those that had previously existed in the market: Why should all kitchen concepts be the same?
Ártica uses the emotional language of design to create an innovative and radically different product without losing any of its functionality. Its form is the result of interpreting of the digital language that surrounds us, while applying the methods of deconstructivism on a 3D surface.
The innovative surface texture of its doors is achieved through the depth of its forms, creating a change of light and shade, producing a striking visual effect.
The Artica glass display cases are a reflection of the aurora borealis and this is produced by the fusion of two primary colors to achieve a dazzling effect.
The result is a visual impact that requires no added company investment, and maintains traditional production processes whilst respecting the environment.
Through Artica, Delta Cocinas (Kitchen Furniture Company) and product design Estudiosat redesign domestic space by creating a new vision of the kitchen furniture.
The exhibition took place in the Architecture Foundation COAM of Madrid, at 23 Piamonte Street, from the 22nd to 24th of September.
